Presentation On Search Engine Optimization
On Wednesday, February 4, we had the extraordinary privilege of giving an online marketing presentation to members of the Iowa American Marketing Association and the Des Moines Partnership (several combined local Chamber of Commerce groups). The two associations partnered to organize monthly luncheons at Des Moines Golf and Country Club, with featured speakers offering nuggets of expertise on various aspects of internet marketing and online advertising, as well as a multitude of other avenues for enhancing clients’ online presence.
Blue Traffic was granted an opportunity to deliver a presentation concentrated on search engine optimization. While most members in attendance had some familiarity with internet marketing and advertising, basic SEO strategy was a fresh area for many of them.
Thus, our aim was to illuminate the inherent connection between higher search engine rankings and increased website traffic, offer basic tips and strategies, and ultimately deconstruct any notions that SEO is strictly for computer wonks and the technologically savvy.
Indeed, whether you are from a big Iowa advertising firm or a small entrepreneurial endeavor in Alaska, these tips can be easily employed by anyone with a website and access to a computer.

I was at the Marketing presentation on Feb. 4 and thought it was very interesting. You should give a presentation sometime specifically on pay-per-click and how successful, or not successful, that is. Thanks for the great presentation.

If the Iowa AMA and/or Des Moines Partnership believes a presentation on PPC would be beneficial to members, I would be happy to be involved. We have built and managed hundreds of campaigns on Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other contextual ad platforms. It is a great way to supplement our SEO efforts and drive immediate traffic.
